B C Heritage

Butchart Gardens

Hatley Park
This 565 acre Edwardian estate is Canada's largest and most diverse National Historic Site. Helmcken House

Pacific Undersea Gardens

Parliament Buildings
Overlooking Victoria's Inner Harbour the Provincial Parliament Buildings reside on five hectares of manicured grounds. The building was designed by a British architect named Francis Rattenbury. There are over 3330 light bulbs illuminate the building at night.
Point Ellice House

Ross Bay Cemetery
 
Victoria's Ross Bay Cemetery opened in 1873 to serve the burial needs of the growing city of Victoria. Overlooking Ross Bay, it is 11 hectares in size (27.5 acres). Not just a burial ground, it serves as a park and restful get away.
St Ann's Academy

Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary

Abkhazi Garden
An exquisite heritage home. Prince and Princess Abkhazi began creating their garden in 1946. The garden is very discreet from the street. The garden is blessed with dramatic glaciated rocky slopes, magnificent native Garry oaks and gorgeous vistas.
Butchart Gardens

Government House Gardens
The grounds embrace 14.6 hectares, consisting of 8.9 hectares of a rare Garry Oak ecosystem, and 5.7 hectares of formal gardens including the Bruce Pavilion, Rotary Garden of International Friendship, Victorian and Sunken and Rose Gardens.

Horticulture Centre of the Pacific A nonprofit organization founded in 1979.Over 103 acres cultivating public interest in sound gardening practices that demonstrate the diversity of plants that can be grown in this area, of preserving natural plant and animal habitat.
University Finnerty Gardens
Finnerty Gardens contain a major collection of rhododendrons, as well as many other varieties of plants. The gardens are always interesting, but the months of April and May are the peak blooming season and the best time to visit. Open to the public every day during daylight hours.
Victoria Rock and Alpine Garden Society
VIRAGS is a club of plant lovers living near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, who visit, study, photograph, draw and grow alpine plants, bog dwellers and woodlanders, whether native or exotic. We encourage the propagation and distribution of plants.
Victoria Horticultural Society
The VHS is a non-profit organization whose objectives are To collect and diffuse information on all topics relating to horticulture, stimulate the knowledge and love of horticultureand co-operate and/or affiliate with other horticultural organizations.
Victoria Rhododendron Society
Monthly meetings of the Victoria Rhododendron Society are held the first Thursday of every month, from September to June. Visitors are welcome!!

CFB Naval and Military Museum

The City of Victoria Archives acquires, preserves and provides access to civic and private records documenting the history of Victoria BC.
Hatley Park Museum

Maritime Museum

Royal BC Museum

Saanich Artifacts Society

Sooke Museum
Highlights Sooke's regional history and culture through historic photographs, First Nations' artifacts, miniature model displays and artifacts depicting the day to day life of early pioneers in the region. Victoria Police Museum

The Victoria Police Department is the oldest police force west of the Great Lakes. See historical Victoria Police artifacts dating back through the 143 year history. The men wore military style uniforms, carried batons and were only allowed revolvers when they were given a warrant to serve. Fisgard Light House

Fort Rodd Hill
